Welcome to the official project site for the Lakewood Ranch Boulevard Rebase & Repave Project, covering the section of Lakewood Ranch Blvd between SR-70 East and University Parkway. This initiative reflects Manatee County’s commitment to enhancing roadway safety, ride quality, and durability for all who travel this critical corridor. This project is funded and led by Manatee County, representing a major infrastructure investment of $14,390,305 into the community’s roadway network.

How the Road is Being Rebuilt: Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR)
This project uses a Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR) technique—an efficient, low-impact method for rebuilding roadways using the materials already in place.

Rather than hauling away old asphalt and trucking in new materials, CIR allows us to:

Mill the existing surface

Mix it with stabilizing agents

Reapply it as a new, reinforced base layer
